This issue will focus on the relationship between Freemasonry and astrology. Believe it or not, this is the very first issue in the history of the magazine dedicated solely to astrology’s influence on the Craft’s ritual and symbolism. I think we’re going to show that, as an interpretive perspective, astrology is every bit as rewarding as alchemy, magic, or Qabalah in elucidating some of the more obscure features of our Masonic work.

     For the articles in this issue of the Fraternal Review, I have reached out to a few Freemasons whom I also know to be proficient astrologers: Ike Baker from North Carolina; Kevin Fuller from Ohio; Adam Goldman from DC; Jacob Trayer from Arizona; and Ben Williams from Colorado. They also happen to be very close friends of mine, and I really appreciate the time and effort they have put forth in this project.

     In the tradition of Robert Hewitt Brown, and all Masonic astrologers before and since; and on behalf of the Southern California Research Lodge, I present to you these five articles exploring the connection between Astrology and Freemasonry.
